Lawn Care & Landscape Maintenance

Maintenance That Protects Your Investment.

A $40K backyard build is only worth $40K if it's maintained. We maintain what we build — and what we didn't — with recurring care from the same crew that knows your property.

Lawn Care & Landscape Maintenance

The most overlooked premium service — and why the build crew should keep the keys.

Homeowners spend tens of thousands on a beautiful build, then hand the keys to a $40-a-week mow-and-blow outfit. Six months later, the steel edge is bent, the new arborvitae is yellow from string-trimmer damage, and a sprinkler head has been buried under mulch since June. Maintenance is where premium landscapes quietly die.

Continuity matters. The crew that installed your sprinkler zones knows where the manifold is. The crew that planted your beds knows which species get pruned in February vs. August. The crew that set your pavers notices when a joint starts losing polymeric sand — before weeds find it. Hiring a separate maintenance company costs more long-term because they kill plants you paid us to install, miss seasonal timing, and don't catch sprinkler issues until something dies.

Utah's climate is also unforgiving. Pre-emergent has to go down before the soil hits 55°F. Fall fertilization has to be in the ground before the first hard freeze. Sprinkler blow-outs have to happen before mid-November or you're replacing valves in spring. Our maintenance calendar is built around those windows — not around a generic national playbook.

What we cover.

  • Weekly lawn maintenance — mowing, edging, trimming, blowing; clean lines every visit
  • 5-step fertilization program — pre-emergent + slow-release nitrogen + summer feed + fall winterizer + lime where soil tests call for it
  • Weed control — pre-emergent in spring, spot treatment ongoing, broadleaf control in turf
  • Seasonal cleanups — full spring opening (bed cleanout, mulch refresh, edge, fertilize) + fall closeout (leaf haul, blow-out, last fertilization)
  • Tree & shrub trimming — proper pruning timing per species; not "everything in February" hacks
  • Mulch refresh + bed maintenance — annual or bi-annual mulch top-off; weed barriers maintained
  • Sprinkler check-ups — included for maintenance clients; spring start-up + fall blow-out
  • Dump runs / haul-offs — debris removal so you're not paying for a dumpster rental
Our Process

How We Build Your Maintenance Plan

Every maintenance client starts with the same six-step onboarding so the property gets baselined and the schedule fits how you actually use the yard.

01

Initial walkthrough

We walk the property, assess current condition, pull a soil test if relevant, and identify problem areas — bare patches, weed pressure, drainage issues, plants under stress.

02

Custom maintenance plan

Visit frequency, services included, seasonal timing, and billing schedule all written into a clear plan. You see what we're doing and when, not a vague "monthly service" line item.

03

Property baseline

The first visits get the property to a clean baseline — full bed cleanout, fresh edging, weed treatment, mulch as needed. Recurring service starts from a clean slate, not a backlog.

04

Recurring service rhythm

Weekly during the growing season, bi-weekly in shoulder seasons, on-demand in winter. Same day, same crew, same time window so you can plan around it.

05

Seasonal milestones

Spring opening, summer adjustments, and fall closeout each get a dedicated multi-hour visit — not just an extended mow day. This is where the calendar work happens.

06

Annual review

End-of-year walkthrough together. What worked, what didn't, what's getting tired. Next year's plan adjusts based on real outcomes — not a copy-paste contract.

Why Mountain View

What sets our maintenance work apart

Same crew that builds

We know your hardscape, sprinklers, and plants because we installed them — or studied them before taking the property on.

Real horticultural knowledge

Not "mow and blow." Proper pruning timing, fertilization windows, and plant health monitoring from a crew that knows the species.

Sprinkler care included

Spring start-up and winter blow-out at no extra charge for maintenance clients. Catch leaks and broken heads before plants pay the price.

Dump runs included

Debris doesn't sit on your property and you don't pay for a dumpster rental. We haul it the day we generate it.

Predictable schedule

Same day, same crew, same time window each week. No mystery windows or "we'll be there sometime Tuesday" texts.

Licensed + insured

Full chemical applicator licensing for fertilization and weed control. Liability coverage on every visit.

Common Questions

Maintenance FAQs

How much does maintenance cost in Utah?
It depends on lot size and frequency. Weekly mow service typically runs $45–$120 per visit. Full programs (mow + 5-step fertilization + cleanups + sprinkler service) typically run $2,400–$6,000 per year. We give a written estimate after walking the property — no ballparks over the phone.
Do I have to sign a long-term contract?
No. We work month-to-month and you can stop anytime. Annual plans get a small discount for the predictability, but there's no lock-in.
What's in the 5-step fertilization program?
Early spring pre-emergent, late spring slow-release nitrogen, mid-summer feed, fall fertilization, and a winterizer plus lime where soil tests call for it. Each step is timed to Utah's growing calendar — not a generic national schedule.
Do you maintain landscapes you didn't build?
Yes. Many of our maintenance clients hired us specifically to take over a property installed by someone else. We do a thorough walkthrough first so we know what we're inheriting.
What's NOT included?
Major plant replacement, hardscape repair, and pool or water-feature service all run through our build crew on separate scope. We don't service pools through a maintenance plan, and we don't pretend to. If something larger comes up, we quote it as its own job.
When do you do spring opening + fall closeout?
Spring opening is typically late March to early April depending on weather. Fall closeout (leaf haul, last fertilization, sprinkler blow-out) is typically late October to early November, before the first hard freeze.
