Concrete Installation

Clean Pours. Crisp Edges.

Driveways, patios, walkways, slabs, and steps with a clean modern finish. Proper expansion joints, smooth surface, and edges that look great for decades.

Concrete That Doesn't Crack

Modern concrete done the right way.

Concrete looks simple. It's not. The difference between a slab that lasts 50 years and one that cracks in 5 is in the prep: subgrade compaction, expansion control, mix specification, and finish technique.

We pour driveways, patios, walkways, and slabs across Utah with proper base prep, control joints cut at the right intervals, and finishing techniques matched to the use case — broom finish for grip, smooth trowel for clean lines, exposed aggregate for texture.

Where we pour concrete.

  • Driveways — new pours and tear-and-replace
  • Patios — clean modern slabs as standalone or paired with pavers
  • Walkways — front entries, side yards, garden paths
  • Steps + stairs — integrated into hardscape or as standalone
  • Slabs — sheds, hot tubs, AC units, equipment pads
  • Curbs + edging — landscape edging, driveway curbs, retaining curbs
Our Process

How We Pour Concrete

01

Site walk + spec

Measure, evaluate access, decide mix specification (typically 4000 PSI for residential), and confirm finish style with samples.

02

Form work + base

Forms set to grade and shape. Subgrade compacted. Reinforcement (rebar or fiber mesh) placed per spec.

03

Pour + screed

Concrete delivered fresh and screeded flat to forms. Bull-floated to compact and bring up cream.

04

Finish + control joints

Trowel or broom finish applied at the right moisture window. Control joints cut to manage cracking patterns.

05

Cure + protect

Curing compound applied or wet-cure for proper hydration. Forms removed when cured. Walkable in 24–48 hours, fully cured in 28 days.

06

Cleanup + walkthrough

Forms and excess removed. Site cleaned. Walkthrough with care guide for the curing window.

Why Mountain View

Concrete That Stays Flat

Proper subgrade prep

Compacted base prevents settling. Skipping this is why bad concrete cracks.

Correctly placed joints

Control joints at the right depth and spacing so cracks happen where you can't see them.

Right mix for the job

4000 PSI driveways, 3500 PSI patios, fiber-reinforced where needed. We don't just take what the truck pours.

Clean finishes

Broom, trowel, or exposed aggregate. Crisp edges. No sloppy hand-tooled lines.

Pairs with pavers + walls

Concrete and paver/wall transitions stay flush and clean — no awkward bumps.

Proper curing

Curing compound or wet-cure for 7+ days. Most concrete cracks come from poor curing, not bad mix.

Common Questions

Concrete FAQs

How much does concrete cost in Utah?
Standard 4-inch slabs run $8–$14 per square foot. Driveways with rebar, decorative finishes, or thicker slabs cost more. Site demolition adds to the price. We provide written estimates after walking the site.
How long until I can use my new concrete?
Walkable in 24–48 hours. Light vehicle traffic in 7 days. Full strength at 28 days. We protect the surface during curing.
Will it crack?
All concrete cracks — that's why we cut control joints, so cracks happen where they're hidden in joints rather than randomly across the surface. Proper base, joint spacing, and curing prevent surface-spoiling cracks.
Can you tear out and replace existing concrete?
Yes — we handle full demolition, haul-off, and new pours. Often combined with grading or drainage upgrades while everything is open.
What about decorative concrete?
We do exposed aggregate, integral color, broom textures, and saw-cut patterns. For full stamped/decorative work, we may refer to a stamped-specialist contractor on more elaborate projects.
Should I choose concrete or pavers?
Honest answer: concrete is cheaper upfront, pavers look more high-end. Concrete is simpler to maintain. Pavers are easier to repair if something cracks. We help you weigh the trade-offs during the estimate.
