2D & 3D Landscape Design

See It Before You Build It.

Professional 2D and 3D landscape design renderings so you can visualize your project before construction begins. Layouts, materials, planting, lighting — all clear before a shovel hits the ground.

Design-First Building

You shouldn't have to imagine the result.

Most landscaping companies sketch on a notepad and ask you to picture it. We don't. We deliver real 2D plans and 3D renderings so you see the finished space — layout, materials, planting, lighting — before construction starts.

Design-first means fewer mid-build changes (which kill schedules and budgets), better material selections, and a finished yard that actually matches what you wanted.

What you get with a design.

  • Site analysis — sun/shade zones, drainage patterns, view corridors
  • 2D site plan — overhead view with measurements, materials, planting locations
  • 3D rendering — perspective views from key angles so you understand scale + feel
  • Material specifications — exact paver lines, wall systems, plant species, turf grades
  • Lighting + irrigation overlays — if those systems are part of the scope
  • Phasing options — if you want to build in stages over multiple years
Our Process

From Idea to Rendered Plan

01

Discovery walk

Walk the site together. Talk through how you want to use the space, your style preferences, must-haves, and budget realities.

02

Site measurement + analysis

Detailed measurements, photos, and notes on grade, drainage, sun/shade, view corridors, and existing features to keep or remove.

03

Concept sketch

Initial 2D layout with hardscape zones, planting beds, lighting placement. We review together to refine before going to render.

04

Material selections

Paver options, wall systems, turf grades, plant species. We bring physical samples to your home.

05

3D rendering

Perspective views from 3–5 key angles. You see the finished space in realistic detail before construction starts.

06

Final plan + estimate

Refined plan, material spec, and detailed written estimate. You decide whether to proceed with us, take the design elsewhere, or sit on it.

Why Design First

The Best Yards Are Designed

See it before building it

3D renderings prevent the "I thought it would look different" surprise after construction.

Catch design flaws early

Better to move a wall on paper than after it's stacked. Design phase is the cheapest place to iterate.

Tighter estimates

Detailed plans = accurate quotes. No "we hit something we didn't expect" mid-build cost overruns.

All systems coordinated

Hardscape, irrigation, lighting, planting designed together — no retrofitting through finished surfaces.

Future-proof phasing

Even if you build in stages, the design ensures every phase fits the larger vision.

Designs you can keep

The plans are yours. Want to take the design to another contractor? You can. (Most clients don't, but you can.)

Common Questions

Landscape Design FAQs

How much does landscape design cost?
Standalone design packages typically run $1,500–$5,000 depending on yard size and complexity. When you build with us, the design fee is often credited toward construction.
How long does design take?
2–4 weeks from discovery walk to final renderings. Larger or more complex projects take longer.
Can I just do design without building?
Yes. We offer standalone design packages. The plans become yours; you can build with us, with another contractor, or sit on the design until you're ready.
What if I already have a design?
We can work from architect or landscape architect plans. Often we'll suggest small adjustments based on construction feasibility, but we respect existing designs.
3D vs. 2D — do I need both?
Most clients want both. 2D shows scale and layout accurately. 3D shows feel and proportion. Together they're far more useful than either alone.
Can you redesign existing landscapes?
Absolutely. Many of our projects are existing yards that need a vision update. We can keep features that work and redesign around them.
